France, Italy & the UK
Since the age of 14 I have been working with children in a whole range of roles from gymnastic coaching to working in a nursery; from Camp America to private nannying and the list really does go on. I think it is fair to say that I love working with children; no matter what their age! Throughout my teens and twenties I studied for several years to obtain my Level 3 Childcare qualification and also a degree in Early Years Childhood Studies.
After catching the seasonaire bug and meeting my partner, Max (who is not only a ski instructor but a very handy office helper) I started Little Chicks Childcare in July 2013 and have never looked back. I now spend my summers in the beautiful Dolomites, Italy, running an English camp for Italian children and my winters in Val d'Isère running Little Chicks Childcare with my fantastic team of nannies.

Italy and Val D'Isere
Hello, I'm Jess, 25, a qualified childcare worker with a degree in Early Years Childhood Studies. I have 8 years experience working with babies, children and young people.
This is my second winter season at Little Chicks. It's a brilliant experience working in the snowy Alps of Val D'isere. I'm here to make sure your holiday is special, with lots of fun activities and play for the children.
I love to focus on developmental and imaginery play, which are all round favourites. We all like getting messy with arts & crafts and face painting is so much fun especially when the children go into character. Everyday is different with lots of exciting things to do. See you all soon!
Part time nanny
Hello, I’m Emma, I’m 23 and I live in a small town in central Scotland called Stirling. I volunteered as a sports coach from the age of 16 and completed various placements in both primary and secondary schools. It was then I discovered my love for working with children and decided I wanted to pursue a career in childcare. I attained a HND in Sports Coaching with the Development of Sport whilst at college, I then went on to university where I graduated with a Honours Degree in Sport Studies. During my three years at university I was a support worker and worked with children aged 0-18 which helped me develop my skills and knowledge a great deal. My role in this job was to assist children in day to day life and organise lots of fun and engaging activities for them. After university I started working as a sports coach, which involved me teaching ten different sports to children aged between 3 and 9. Every week we coach a different sport, so I am very used to change and working flexibly. I have never done a ski season before but I absolutely love new adventures so I’ll look forward to seeing everyone this coming winter!
Half term Nanny
Hi, I’m Lulu, I’m 20 and from North Yorkshire. Last Easter I spent 3 weeks as a Little Chick’s nanny in Val d’Isere and loved it so much I’m back for the full season! I’ve worked with children for the last 4 years, I currently work in a nursery in a small village, looking after children aged 0-5 years. I’m also currently working towards my level 3 award in childcare and education. I spent the last year training to be a children’s nurse meaning I’ve worked with children from tiny premature babies right the way up to 17-year olds. My 650 hours of hospital placements means I have also looked after children with a wide range of health problems and special needs. I’ve done private nannying for different families each summer holidays since 2014, and I’ve also spent a year volunteering at my local gymnastics club with children aged 4-11. My favourite activities in Val d’Isere are sledging and snow painting – I’ll also take any opportunity to jump into the swimming pool! I’m so excited to be spending the full season out in the Alps – see you there!
